Nona and Philip met on December 15th 2004 inside the Brent Schoolbus at the edge of Bulabog Beach in Boracay. This is how it all happened...
Philip: "By December 2004 I had already started a mini office for MaxLifestyle in Manila and at that time the three other founders of my company were visiting the Philippines. We decided to all go to Boracay for a week to do a one-week kitesurfing course. The daily routine was to take a tricycle going from station 2 to Bulabog Beach on the backside of Boracay where the kitesurfing schools are located. On Wednesday December 15th there was no wind so the course already ended at 1pm and we could not find any tricycles to take us back to station 2. That is when I spotted a little bus that was standing still and I proposed to try and hitch a ride on the bus... it turned out to be the schoolbus for Brent International School Boracay... I approached the driver and asked if he could possibly take us back to white beach... "
