When I was 6 I saw Disneyland and Universal Studios in California for the first time, and we moved to New Jersey. We stayed in Jersey City for a year or so then "flew south" to Bayville where we stayed for our remaining years in the US. We moved from house to house within both cities. In mid-1996 my family decided to move back to the Philippines. It was a very hard move for a 13 year old. To ease the move, my mom and dad planned a month long cross-country USA roadtrip! We drove from New Jersey to California, criss-crossing along the way. We then flew to Hawaii where Joe and I had a crash course in surfing (completely failed but had so much fun!). Nicole also traveled with us in my mom's tummy!
