Nona's Story

In the beginning, I was really sad about moving. I missed my friends and the hometown I came to love. But I like to see myself as a strong person, so I took it head on with a smile. I finished college in the University of Asia and the Pacific with a Bachelor's Degree in Humanities. I then landed a job and worked for 2 years as a middle school teacher in Brent International School - Boracay Campus. Here I can officially say that I went to the same school as my little sister Nicole who is 13 years younger than me. Fine she was the cute second grader and I the old teacher. Funny how a certain profession automatically ages a person. =)

I've always been a beach baby, so living in Boracay was such a dream come true! The symbol that changed my life was the schoolbus that I dubbed the "magic schoolbus". It lead me and my parents to my dream house atop Diniwid Beach (which turned out to be one of Brent's faculty houses), it became the instrument for me to meet Philip, and on May 30th 2006, it was the venue where the love of my life got down on one knee and proposed...
